NRS-672 | History of the Board of Veterinary Surgeons of New South Wales

This is a photocopy of a typescript history of the Board for the period 1924 to 1975. It was compiled by John Beardwood in the mid 1970s. Mr Beardwood was a veterinary surgeon, who graduated from Melbourne University during the 1920s. He was employed as a veterinary inspector with a number of Pasture Protection Boards. After his retirement he was made honorary archivist with the Australian Veterinary Association and it was during this period that he compiled this history. It is believed that Mr Beardwood obtained most of the information in this history from the Minutes of meetings of the Board. The original history was in longhand which was later typed. The original handwritten notes have since disappeared. This is a copy of the typed version. (18/1481.2). 1 bundle.
