Landslide incidents

Many types of landslides repeat themselves in the same place. This applies both to the almost annual avalanches, which is a known problem in many parts of the country, and for the far more rare avalanches. Knowledge of avalanches that have gone through history contributes to a better understanding of the avalanche hazard in an area. Information about previous landslides is therefore important when mapping avalanche-prone areas.
