Dynamics of dissolved organic matter (DOM) and succession of bacterial community composition (BCC) during emerging cyanobacterial bloom were investigated in a mesocosm experiment conducted in the western Gulf of Finland, the Baltic Sea. Effects of inorganic nutrients (N and P) and labile dissolved organic carbon (glucose) addition, and manipulation of abundance of large zooplankton (>100 µm) on DOM pool, bacterial production and composition of bacterial communities were followed over 10 days.
