Metabarcoding of feces and intestinal contents to determine carnivorous diets in red-crowned crane in eastern Hokkaido, Japan

This project was conducted to understand the diet of wild red-crowned cranes Grus japonensis in east Hokkaido, Japan. DNA metabarcoding with universal primer sets was carried out with DNA extracts of scatological samples from red-crowned cranes at different life stages.
