This project aims to use 3RADseq method to generate thousand SNPs for spotted hyenas (Crocuta crocuta) inhabiting the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. The high density genomic marker data for the whole population will be combined with long term demographic and life-history data to understand (1) what determines fitness, (2) how persistent distinct biological responses are to environmental change, and (3) what the consequences are for population dynamics in the wild.
