SIGMA-H Dataset on Governance, Technological Absorption and Perceived Quality in Hospital Emergency Services (Colombian Caribbean, 2024)

This dataset contains cross-sectional survey data from 93 public and mixed hospital emergency departments in the Colombian Caribbean region. It was collected in 2024 to quantify the relationships between organizational governance, technological absorptive capacity and perceived quality of emergency care, and to empirically ground the Global SIGMA-H model (Sustainable Integrated Governance and Management for Healthcare). The file dataset_emergency_services.xlsx includes anonymized variables on human talent management, financial and resource governance, internal control and community participation, together with multi-item indicators of technological learning, awareness, acquisition, implementation and strategic alignment, plus perceived quality indices reported by clinical and managerial staff. Composite indices, binary quality thresholds (Quality_high50, Quality_high75), and a three-class latent organizational profile (typical, bureaucratic, elite) are also provided. The data enable replication of all descriptive, correlational, latent class and logistic regression analyses reported in the associated article, as well as secondary research on healthcare governance, digital maturity and sustainability-oriented quality management in middle-income health systems. No patient-level or identifying information is included; hospital codes and respondent roles are fully anonymized.
