Building Footprint Ubid Folio - Buildings to Benchmark - View

This feature class has been created to identify your building's Unique Building Identifier (UBID) number. All parcel data presented within was obtained from the Miami-Dade County Property Appraiser's property database and joined with 3 additional data sources. The only exception are for multiple buildings that share a parcel, therefore the LIVING_AREA and FLOOR fields have been estimated in order to provide information that was not present in the Property Appraisal’s database. The UBID numbers were generated using a custom API, which calculated the UBID based on X, Y, XMin, YMin, XMax, and YMax values derived from the centroid of each building structure.

Buildings to Benchmark is a derivative layer of BuildingFootprint_UBIDFolio which only includes buildings with a Living Area greater than or equal to 20,000 sqft, and excludes the following building types via the query: "BLDG_TYPE NOT IN ('FEDERAL : FEDERAL', 'FEDERAL : OFFICE BUILDING', 'IMPR AGRI - NOT HOMESITES : 2 LIVING UNITS', 'IMPR AGRI : RESIDENTIAL - SINGLE FAMILY', 'MILITARY : FEDERAL', 'RESIDENTIAL - SINGLE FAMILY : 1 UNIT', 'RESIDENTIAL - SINGLE FAMILY : ADDITIONAL LIVING QUARTERS', 'RESIDENTIAL - SINGLE FAMILY : RESIDENTIAL - TOTAL VALUE', 'STATE : OFFICE BUILDING', 'STATE : STATE OF FLORIDA', 'STATE : TRUSTEE II FUND') Or OWNER 'MIAMI DADE COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD'")

This UBID can be used to uniquely identify a building and is more effective for linking building data across databases compared to traditional identifiers such as street address.
