Weakening of agriculture/nature per ha – Flanders – state 2013

This map of the interchange between nature and agriculture was drawn up on the basis of a selection of all valuable and highly valuable nature from the biological valuation map combined with the map of agricultural uses. The analysis was carried out on a 10 m resolution. Similarly, small parcels of nature and agriculture were detected in a urbanised context. Each hectare cell with at least 100 m² of nature or agriculture was included in the analysis. This map indicates, per hectare, whether it is a monofunctional agricultural cell, a mono-functional natural cell, a cell intertwined between agriculture and nature with a dominance of agriculture, or a cell with interdependence between agriculture and nature with a domination of nature. The cell may also include other functions, such as living, industry or recreation, but these functions (and their surface areas) are not considered in this analysis.
