There is little information on tea plant response to drought at the molecular level.The main objective of these study was to determine how Camelia sinensis responds to drought at the molecular level and to identify drought responsive genes using 454 sequencing technology.The identified genes are useful in the development of markers for clonal selection in tea breeding program.
