Subglacial particle tracking dataset from the Otemma Glacier, southwestern Switzerland
收藏资源简介:
Subglacial radio-tagged particle tracking dataset from the snout-marginal zone of Glacier d'Otemma, southwestern Switzerland. A total of 324 active RFID-tagged pebbles and cobbles were injected into a snout-marginal subglacial channel and tracked from the glacier surface using RFID antennas as they were transported downstream during the mid to late 2021 melt season. Data collection followed the active-RFID particle tracking methodology described in Jenkin et al. (2023) and its related Zenodo method archive. Manuscript-specific trajectory interpretation and analysis are described in "Coarse Sediment Transport in a Near-Terminus Subglacial Channel" and its Supporting Information, accepted for publication in Geophysical Research Letters on 16 June 2026. This third version of the dataset reflects changes made during peer review. Previous versions are not supported for reuse. particles.csv - tagged particle metadata with columns:ID: particle ID codeseed_time: time of particle seeding [fractional day of year]seed_day: day of year particle seededweight: particle weight [g]density: particle density [g/cm3]a: particle longest axis [mm]b: particle intermediate axis [mm]c: particle shortest axis [mm] models.csv - downstream along-channel particle transport distance:ID: tagged particle ID codeday: day of yeardist: downstream particle transport distance [m]
