WMS — Saxony Hazardous Information Map (Atlas of the Flood Hazard in Saxony)
收藏资源简介:
The hazard warning map shows flood areas and intensities (water depth or specific outflow) in extreme floods for the Elbe river and the waters I. Order in Saxony on an overview scale (1:100,000) with a data level of 2004. Extreme Flood (EHQ) is an event that is significantly greater than HQ(100), at least the highest observed event, but generally HQ(300). The flood areas were calculated without taking into account the effects of existing flood protection devices, such as dams, dikes or polders. The intensities and extensions shown represent an enveloping of all possible flood scenarios, i.e. not all surfaces shown are affected in a single event. This also applies to failures of protective devices. In addition, the limits of flooded areas at HQ(20) and HQ(100) are also presented without taking into account the effects of flood protection devices. Due to the various flooding and thus damage processes, a distinction was made between flat valley areas (slide-free, mostly non-run-changing flooding) and steep areas (dynamic flooding with sliding transport, erosion and expected change of course). Since at the steep sections of the water the flood depth can only indirectly give a statement about the intensity and thus about the danger, the flow velocity on the forelands has also been determined. The product of flood depth and flow velocity is presented as a specific drain (outflow per metre water width) for EHQ.
