HIV -associated neurocognitive disorder markers isolated from neuroexosomes. Homo sapiens

In this study, we tried to isolate HIV-associated neurocognitive disorder (HAND) biomarkers from HIV patients with HAND. HAND is classified into three categories according to severity: asymptomatic neurocognitive impairment (ANI), mild neurocognitive disorder (MND), and severe HIV-associated dementia (HAD). miRNAs were isolated from circulating neuroexosomes to investigate transcriptome analysis using miRNA microarray (Affymetrix GeneChip miRNA arrays). miRNA microarray data include non-HIV controls (n=4), MND patients (n=2), and HAD patients (n=2).
