Continuous glucose monitoring in obese pregnancy

Objective: To evaluate the 24 hours-glycemic profile of obese pregnant with normal glucose tolerance and compare with lean pregnant. Methods – It was a cross-sectional and prospective study that analyzed CGMS (iPro™2 Professional CGM) of 20 pregnant with normal oral glucose tolerance test with 75 g of glucose (75-g OGTT), at 24 - 28 weeks of gestation. Ten pregnant were allocated in obese group (OG) and 10 pregnant in control group (CG). The groups were paired by maternal age and parity. Glucose measurements were obtained during 72 horas.
