Discovery and characterization of olokizumab: a humanized antibody targeting interleukin-6 and neutralizing gp130-signaling.

The epitope residues were calculated from [PDB: 4CNI] as the antigen residues at 4Å atomic distance from the antibody. Administration of the epitope-specific olokizumab in a cynomologous collagen-induced arthritis model substantially reduced arthritis scores and CRP levels, with improvements in histology and bone erosion scores at the higher dose of 20 mg/kg antibody.
