Genome sequencing of mitochondrial-deficient Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains after spaceflight

Lyophilized Saccharomyces cerevisiae strains were flown on the Shenzhou-16 mission and exposed outside the Mengtian module of the China Space Station for about six months. After sample return, flight and ground control strains were rehydrated, and colonies with enhanced stress tolerance were selected for whole-genome sequencing.
