This BioProject includes 16S rRNA gene and ITS amplicon sequencing data from forest soil samples collected across Adaptive Silviculture for Climate Change (ASCC) sites in Colorado, USA -- State Forest (SF_, Taylor Park (TP), and San Juan (SJ). Samples span multiple soil depths (Organic matter [OM], 0-5 cm, 5-15 cm) and dominant forest types. The dataset provides bacterial (16S rRNA) and fungal (ITS) community composition data suitable for analyses of soil microbial diversity and community structure across forest systems. NOTE: A subset of collected samples did not yield sufficient sequencing reads and therefore do not have associated SRA run accessions. BioSample records are retained for all collected samples to preserve complete sample metadata.
