Processed Metabolite Abundance Data from Widely Targeted Metabolomics of Honeybees with Jujube Flower Disease

This dataset contains processed metabolite abundance data generated by widely targeted LC–MS/MS metabolomics of whole bee samples collected during the flowering period of Ziziphus jujuba. The study included eight exposed asymptomatic jujube flower foragers, operationally labeled as HC, and eight bees showing characteristic symptoms of jujube flower disease (JFD). One individual was sampled from each of 16 different colonies. Pooled quality-control injections are also included. Each row represents a quantified metabolite feature and includes available annotation information, such as the compound identifier and name, chemical classification, mass-related information, ion mode, molecular formula, and relative abundance values for individual biological samples and pooled quality-control injections. The numerical abundance values represent relative chromatographic peak areas and should not be interpreted as absolute metabolite concentrations. A total of 2,382 metabolite features were quantified. Following a two-stage annotation-based filtering procedure, 1,145 filtered annotated metabolites were retained for downstream principal component analysis, differential abundance analysis, visualization, and pathway enrichment analysis. The dataset supports the manuscript entitled “Integrated metabolomic and transcriptomic analyses identify elevated tryptophan metabolism and altered sugar homeostasis associated with honeybee jujube flower disease.”
