​Dataset on the Influence of Temporal Features of Musical Instrument Timbre on Emotional Induction Effects

This dataset originates from an empirical study investigating the impact of temporal features of musical instrument timbre on emotional induction effects. The study employed a between-group design to counterbalance order effects: Group 1 participants listened to the violin timbre first followed by the piano, while Group 2 experienced the reverse order. The dataset contains emotional response data from 230 participants, with each participant providing ratings for both instrument timbres across three dimensions: valence, arousal, and dominance. This dataset is intended to support the analysis of the role of temporal acoustic features in music-induced emotion.
