Four representations of the Swiss railway network

This dataset contains four representations of the Swiss railway network as of 2025. The dataset is based on data from the Open Data Platform Mobility Switzerland (ODPCH, https://opentransportdata.swiss/en/). In all four representations, the set of nodes corresponds to the complete set of train stations in Switzerland. The first three representations are static networks that differ in how edges are defined:The first, called <b>Space-of-Changes (SoCha)</b>, includes a directed edge between any two stations connected by a direct service that requires no train changes.The second, <b>Space-of-Stops (SoSto)</b>, includes a directed edge between any two stations served by at least one non-stop train.The third, <b>Space-of-Stations (SoSta)</b>, includes an undirected edge between any two geographically adjacent stations.Finally, the fourth representation is a <b>temporal network</b>, where each edge represents a train connection annotated with its start time and duration.The dataset consists of the edgelists for the four representations (filename <i>edgelist_*.csv</i>), the nodelist (<i>nodelist.csv</i>), as well as two files, <i>edges_removed_SoSta.csv</i> and <i>edges_added_SoSta.csv</i>, which contain edges that were manually removed and added, respectively, in order to comply with the definition for the Space-of-Stations representation.
