Understanding the genetic basis of drought tolerance is vital for genomics assisted breeding for developing drought tolerant varieties. In the current study, we have used Genotyping-by-Sequencing (GBS) approach for large scale SNP discovery and genotyping of a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of chickpea, derived from parental lines, contrasting for drought tolerance traits.
