EVORA-MA: A Provenance-Rich, Temporally Harmonized Dataset of Moroccan Public Indicators and Broadcast-News Metadata for Socio-Economic Research

EVORA-MA v2.0.0 is a provenance-rich, temporally harmonized dataset of Moroccan public economic indicators and broadcast-news metadata. This major reconstruction supersedes the analytical tables of EVORA-MA v1.0.0 by providing validated indicator semantics, units, temporal frequencies, series identities, date evidence, deterministic identifiers, and explicit mappings from the predecessor release. The economic layer contains 475,690 observations organized into 11,034 time series and 8,301 indicator concepts derived from official resources produced by Bank Al-Maghrib and the Haut-Commissariat au Plan. It comprises 375,030 monthly observations, 36,793 quarterly observations, and 63,867 annual observations. The release provides Parquet and compressed CSV tables, a public DuckDB database, monthly and quarterly panels, source-family and resource registries, semantic and temporal evidence, record-level provenance, conflict-resolution records, component-level licensing mappings, and v1-to-v2 identifier mappings. The news layer contains metadata for 2,104 verified Moroccan television news bulletins derived from the previously published Aloula News Dataset – Moroccan TV (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.15858938). It includes 2,100 day-precision publication dates and 4 month-precision dates, bulletin titles, verified bulletin-slot information where supported by the source evidence, stable record locators, and monthly and quarterly summaries. The release does not redistribute transcripts, raw texts, audio, video, or media URLs. EVORA-MA v2.0.0 is not a mirror of Morocco’s national open-data portal. It publishes only Bank Al-Maghrib and Haut-Commissariat au Plan economic indicators that passed semantic, unit, frequency, temporal, and provenance validation. Water, AMMC/OPCVM, transport, road-safety, telecommunications, and other unresolved domains are outside the v2.0.0 analytical scope. The release is intended for reproducible research involving Moroccan economic indicators, temporal data integration, data provenance, economic time-series analysis, and the study of relationships between official indicators and timestamped broadcast-news metadata. The dataset itself does not assert forecasting, explanatory, or causal relationships.
