Dataset and R scripts for: Depth-dependent variation in microbial carbon allocation along an altitudinal gradient

This dataset contains the data and R scripts supporting the manuscript "Depth-dependent variation in microbial carbon allocation along an altitudinal gradient". The study investigates microbial carbon allocation among growth, respiration, and extracellular enzyme activity in topsoil and subsoil across an altitudinal gradient in a temperate forest. The uploaded files support analyses of microbial growth, respiration, total enzyme activity, soil physicochemical properties, resource stoichiometry, and microbial community-related indicators. The 16S rRNA gene and ITS sequence data used in this study have been deposited in the Genome Sequence Archive at the National Genomics Data Center under accession number PRJCA015582.
