Spatial RNA sequencing of bleomycin-treated young and old mice lungs at day 14 and day 28 post injection

We monitored lung fibrosis formation and resolution in young and old mice by generating a series of spatial transcriptomics datasets using the 10x Genomics Visium platform Overall design: Young (7 weeks) or old (18 months) mice were injected with PBS or bleomycin to induce transient alveolar damages. At the bleomycin-induced fibrotic response peak at day 14 and during the resolution phase at day 28 post injection, their lungs were embedded in OCT and stored at -80°C. OCT blocks were cryosectioned at 10µm thickness on capture areas of Visium 10 Genomics slide.
