Patients with Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) on conventional diets often experience nutritional deficiencies and dehydration, with pregnancy posing additional challenges. This case report details the experience of a 29-year-old woman with a history of Crohn's disease and subsequent SBS, who typically required total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Her pregnancy was successfully managed with the glucagon-like peptide-2 (GLP-2) analog enabling her to wean off TPN. This instance illuminates the potential of GLP-2 analog in altering the nutritional management landscape for pregnant SBS patients, underscoring the need for further exploration into such treatment alternatives.
