Study of Bacterial diversity and community composition of soil amended with Golden Apple Snail residues

Our recent study suggests that the GAS residue can be used to neutralize acidic soils as well as the lime, and compared to lime, the use of GAS residue also improved soil total organic carbon and nutrients. Lime tends to lead to soil compaction, Si and P deficiency, and reduce soil microbial biomass and diversity. However, the effects of the amendment of GAS residue on soil microbial properties, especially bacterial community and diversity still remain largely unknown.
