We generated RNA-seq by using brains of fruit fly for investigating lncRNAs in fruit fly. The brain, instead of the whole body, was selected for retrieving RNA samples, because some lncRNA studies in mammalian have reported that many lncRNAs were tissue-specifically expressed. Also, the brain was selected owing to its importance in studying neuron-related diseases.
