Nematostella extracellular matrix proteome of planula, primary polyp and adult

The aim of this project was to identify all proteins that are part of the extracellular matrix of Nematostella and to investigate the molecular dynamics that occur in different life stages of the complex life cycle with a special focus on the metamorphosing of the planula-polyp transition. Decellularized extracellular matrix from planula larvae (3 days past fertilization (dpf)), primary polyps (10 dpf) and adults was collected and analyzed using mass spectrometry. The material was not completely cell-free but highly enriched in ECM material.
