A questionnaire survey was used to collect primary data. Data collection took place from 1st to 12th September in the Czech Republic, using the CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing) method through the research agency Focus. The sample is representative of the Czech population and comprised 816 respondents. Respondents were asked to indicate their level of agreement with each statement on a seven-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree, 7 = strongly agree). The initial model included more than sixty observed variables, covering seven thematic domains: values, lifestyle, standard of living, perceived uncertainties, attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioural control, behavioural intention and actual behaviour. The original conceptual framework was based on the assumption that consumer behaviour is influenced by not only living standards, values and lifestyle, but also contextual factors such as digitalisation, perceived uncertainty and sustainability.
