Understanding the factors driving lineage diversification in recently diverged taxonomic groups poses a considerable challenge due to the intricate nature of evolutionary mechanisms. This complexity is further amplified by the dynamic interplay of geoclimatic processes, particularly conspicuous during glacial periods in the Patagonian region. By employing the Liolaemus kingii group as a model system for the study of diversification accompanied by gene flow, we systematically analyze the influence of spatial and climatic variables on the configuration of both genetic and morphometric diversity.
