山葵花期調節與健康採種技術之研發

由於山葵新栽培體系之建立，將有成為新興產業之發展潛能，但台灣並無山葵種子之產區，而種苗是新產業的基礎，因此開發山葵在台灣本土就可以採收健康種子的技術，將是這新產業能否得以永續發展的決定關鍵。本計畫針對人工控制環境下，不同因子如苗齡、容器大小等對於山葵植株生長及開花的影響。除此之外，本計畫也初步建立了以山葵種子及花梗芽為培植體的組織培養繁殖技術，未來可望進一步應用於優良健康種苗生產以及優良品系種原保存。 The supply of healthy seedlings is an important key to the sustainable development of the wasabi industry. Right now, there is no commercial production of wasabi seeds in Taiwan. The development of technologies that can be used to harvest healthy wasabi seeds in Taiwan will be the key to determining whether this new industry can sustainably develop. In this project the effects of factors such as seedling age and container size on the growth and flowering of wasabi plants in a controlled environment were evaluated. Besides, the in vitro propagation technology using wasabi seeds and nodes of the floral stalk as the cultivation explants were initially established, which is expected to be further applied to the production of healthy seedlings and the preservation of selected elite clones in the future.
