This dataset allows for the exploration of irradiation and long-term monocyte engraftment on gene expression in wild-type (C57/BL6) mice, across multiple brain regions. C57BL/6 mice received a bone marrow transplant from CAG-EGFP mice following whole body irradiation (1000 cGy) and following 3.5 mo treated with PLX3397 at a dose of 600 ppm for 14d. After this mice were returned to control chow diet, and allowed to recover for 6 mo. Brains were collected and micro-dissected for specific brain regions: hippocampus, cortex, and thalamus. n=3-4/group
