Cancers found in humans and mouse models share many characterisitic genetic mutations. Thus the identification of cancer genes in mouse cancer models has the potential to provide insights into the development of cancer in humans. We plan to identify novel cancer genes by exome sequencing defined mouse genetic cancer models that are prone to developing lung and blood tumours.
