Amaranthus palmeri whole-genome sequencing

Amaranthus palmeri is an agronomically important weed species. Here we utilize Pacific Biosciences long-read sequencing and Dovetail Hi-C and Chicago sequencing for the most contiguous A. palmeri draft genome assembly to date. This reference genome will accelerate genomic studies in this species to further our understanding of weedy and resistance evolution within Amaranthus.
