Geo-referencing Bonneblades

These topographic maps were published by the Army’s Topographical Bureau between 1866 and 1951. The maps were scanned by the Topographic Service between 2001 and 2004 and georeferenced by Alterra’s Geo-information Centre. For each card sheet an ImageFile is made of a Bonneblad in geotiff format. The different map sheets are then merged into a grid dataset in a Geodatabase. Since several editions (years) are available, a series of card sheets issued around 1900 has been chosen.
