CHAIX_2026_DATASET-DEAFOST

This dataset contains the anonymised raw data from a cross-sectional survey conducted among deaf and hard-of-hearing adults living in mainland France. The survey aimed to evaluate accessibility to osteopathic care, with a particular focus on communication, patient-practitioner relationship, and healthcare pathways. All data have been fully anonymised. No directly personal information is included. The data set is provided in xls formt to allow reproductibility of statistical analyses presented in the manuscript.
The dataset includes:
- Sociodemographic variables,
- Variables related to access to healthcare and osteopathic care,
- Perceived accessibility indicators,
- Communication modalities used during consultations,
- Patient-practitioner relationship variables,
- Experience of renunciation of care,
- Knowledge and use of osteopathy.
This dataset supports the findings of the study entitled: Accessibility to osteopathy for the deaf population: a mixed-methods study to inform osteopathic care.
