Supplementary data, R scripts and 3D models for "Stone tool shaping without direct cultural transmission" - Ferar et al. (2025)

This repository contains the supplementary materials associated with the article "Stone tool shaping without direct cultural transmission" (Journal of Archaeological Sciences). The dataset includes: 3D models of the coded pieces in the Handaxe Study (PLY files) R script to reproduce the geometric morphometric analyses for the Arbitrary Shape Study and plots presented in the article, along with raw landmark data files (NTS) and CSV files required to run the script Excel workbook used for further data analysis in the Arbitrary Shape Study (calculating number of successful attempts according to different analyses) Together, these materials allow full reproduction of the results presented in the publication.
