Evolution of pesticides in water soils

Many organochlorine pesticides (mostly insecticides) tend to bind to suspended solids in the water column. When these particles settle, the pollutants attached to them end up in the water soil. They can remain there for a long time. The results of measurements shall be classified into quality classes on the basis of the comparison with the reference value for the whole OCPs.
