These are transcriptome reads for three Flavobacteriia: Dokdonia donghaensis DSW-1, and Dokdonia strains MED134 and PRO95, grown in seawater media in light or darkness. Their genomes harbor the rhodopsin gene that encodes a light-driven ion pumps widely distributed in the bacterioplankton of the oceans.
