Historic Preservation Landmark Corridors

Historic corridors are intact roadways and the surrounding environment that still convey their historic character from early in the 20th century. King County and other public agencies try to avoid impacts to these corridors during road improvement, maintenance or other public works projects. A few are officially designated landmark corridors and are subject to a higher degree of scrutiny during capital projects, but mostly the corridors support the development of heritage tourism in rural King County and raise awareness and pride among those who live or work along them.

历史廊道（Historic corridors）指保存完好的道路及其周边环境，仍可彰显20世纪早期的历史风貌。金县（King County）与其他公共机构在道路改造、养护或其他公共工程项目开展期间，力求避免对这类廊道造成不利影响。其中少数已被正式认定为地标性廊道，在资本性项目中需接受更为严格的审查；而绝大多数廊道则助力金县乡村地区的遗产旅游发展，并提升沿线居住或从业者的文化认同感与自豪感。
