Attached please find the data and analysis codes of "Attenuating biophysical cooling benefits of global forestation due to rising atmospheric CO2".Above all data and analysis codes are based on Matlab R2023a, including:(1) dTa_map_co2.mat: The spatial patterns of near-surface air temperature changes (∆T<sub>a</sub>) induced by global full-potential forestation under current scenario and three SSP scenarios (SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5).(2) ExpTa_co2.mat: The spatial patterns of forestation-induced local effects and non-local effect on T<sub>a</sub> under current scenario and three SSP scenarios (SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5).(3) bioprocess_co2.mat: The spatial patterns of forestation-induced changes in five surface processes under current scenario and three SSP scenarios (SSP1-2.6, SSP2-4.5, SSP5-8.5).(4) ExpTa_4scenarios.mat: The spatial patterns of forestation-induced local effects and non-local effect on T<sub>a</sub> across four sensitivity scenarios under current climatic conditions.(5) dTadv850_map_co2.mat: The spatial patterns of forestation-induced horizontal temperature advection at 850 hpa under current scenario and three SSP scenarios.(6) Ta_decomposition_a.m: Analysis code used for decomposing ∆T<sub>a</sub> into local and non-local effects based on surface energy budget.(7) dx_atmos.m: Analysis code used for calculating zonal gradient.(8) dy_atmos.m: Analysis code used for calculating meridional gradient.(9) advh_atmos.m: Analysis code used for calculating horizontal temperature advection.(10) plumb_wave.m: Analysis code used for calculating Rossby wave activity.
