资源简介:
This data underpins the research programme of the Australia-China Centre for Wheat Improvement (ACCWI) at Murdoch University. The largest current project is the national effort to sequence chromosome 7A of wheat, led by the Rudi Appels and Gabriel Keeble-Gagnere at the ACCWI. This is part of the international effort to sequence the entire wheat genome, led by the International Wheat Genome Sequencing Consortium (IWSGC). This is the most sophisticated genome assembly ever carried out in Australia, integrating 11,000 BAC clones in the physical map minimum tiling path, together with next- generation sequencing and a high-resolution, high-density genetic map (the MAGIC map, developed at CSIRO). This effort includes researchers both nationally (at Murdoch University, the ACPFG in Adelaide, and CSIRO), as well as internationally. The ACCWI has also carried out the analysis of a very large wheat transcriptomics (RNA-seq) study, as part of Hollie Webster's Phd thesis (submitted). At least three publications based on this thesis are expected shortly. This work was in collaboration with the Department of Environment and Primary Industries, Victoria. In addition, the ACCWI is carrying out one of the largest proteomics studies in wheat, mirroring the experimental design of the previously mentioned transcriptomics experiment. This project is in collaboration with Proteomics International.
