Occupancy rate in mountain resorts France 2023, by vacation period

The season 2020-2021 was an outstanding season for mountain resorts in France. The COVID-19 pandemic directly impacted their occupancy rate, which decreased by more than half compared to the previous season. The vacation period where winter resorts suffered the most losses was the Christmas Holidays, with an occupancy rate of 37 percent, against 83 percent the previous year.
