This ‘Practice Teaching Handbook’ was published by the Wagga Wagga Teachers' College, in order to provide specific localised information and guidance to those students undertaking practice teaching programs. The booklet aims to answer frequently asked questions, and sets out what the college expects of its students during teaching practicums. The main elements that the publication addresses includes: - the student and the school - student’s lessons - lesson notes - results, reviews and recommendations - supervision - use of the chalkboard and other teaching aids - speech, dress and conduct - the observation book - home practice teaching; and - relevant texts and reference books.
