Details of studies included in scoping review: Probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics as oral supplements for skin health, function and disease throughout the life course

This scoping review aimed to map the body of literature on the role of oral probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics in maintaining and optimising skin health and function as well as preventing and managing skin conditions through the life course. Six electronic databases were systematically searched and results considered for inclusion by two reviewers using previously established criteria. Finally, 516 studies were included in the scoping review, including 73 systematic reviews.
