This data set contains data related to the Bathythermograph (XBT) temperature messages exchanged through the Global Transmission System from January 1 through December 31, 1986 by the Directoria de Hidrografia e Navegacao (Brasil). The Integrated Global Ocean Service System (IGOSS) XBT data are in GF3 format and were transferred via satellite.
