资源简介:

Lung cancer is among the deadliest diagnosed cancers worldwide. Despite the broad advances in lung cancer treatment, the survival rate remains poor. A structurally modified compound of curcumin known as curcumin analogue 1,5-bis(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl-1,4-pentadiene-3-one (MS13) was synthesized to enhance the bioavailability and anti-cancer properties of curcumin. This study aimed to investigate the anti-cancer activity and mechanism of MS13 on human lung squamous cell carcinoma NCI-H520 and adenocarcinoma NCI-H23 cells. MS13 exhibited more potent anti-cytotoxic, anti-proliferative and apoptosis effects in NCI-H520 and NCI-H23 cells compared to curcumin. MS13 exerted its anti-cancer effect by modulating numerous targets at both genomic and proteomic levels.
