The livestock dataset is sourced from *Statistical Report on Animal Husbandry in the Three-River-Source Region*, provided by Qinghai Province. It covers livestock-related data of 16 counties in the Three-River-Source Region from 1988 to 2015, namely Zeku County, Banma County, Chengduo County, Dari County, Gande County, Henan County, Jiuzhi County, Maduo County, Maqên County, Nangqên County, Qumarlêb County, Tongde County, Xinghai County, Yushu County, Zadoi County, and Zhiduo County. According to the standard sheep unit conversion standard: 1 yak equals 4 sheep units, 1 horse equals 6 sheep units, 1 donkey equals 4 sheep units, and 1 camel equals 8 sheep units. The unit used in the table is "ten thousand sheep units". This dataset can help understand the annual carrying capacity of each county in the Three-River-Source Region, and facilitate the analysis of the relationship between local animal husbandry and grassland vegetation, as well as other relevant research topics.
