This survey follows an earlier survey where two groups of children and their mothers, a kinder garden group and a home group, were examined when the children were 7 years old. The survey focuses on the mother's pedagogical style and the child's ability to learn. The following up happened when the children were 20 years old and it included all of the children except of one. Face-to-face interviewing was applied when asking about schooling, working life, social life, well-being and plans for the future. A postal questionnaire was also sent for evaluation of autonomy and Q-sort test for evaluation of self-image.
