Gut and oral metagenomic signature of fatty liver disease in a pediatric population

Using a multi-omics approach, we identified microbiome-derivedbiochemicals and metagenomic functions associated with progressive hepatic pathology and fibrosis in Latino children (N=241). These findings point to potential therapeutic targets in NASH and hepatic injury.
