Temporal Dynamics of Citation-Linked Bibliographic Environments: A Geometric Approach to Cross-Disciplinary Scientometrics
收藏资源简介:
This dataset and software package accompanies the research study “Temporal Dynamics of Citation-Linked Bibliographic Environments: A Geometric Approach to Cross-Disciplinary Scientometrics.” The study introduces the Dynamic Geometric Reference Index (DGRI), a mathematical framework for quantifying and comparing the evolving citation environments of scientific publications through the geometric mean of citation counts associated with their bibliographic references. The repository contains OpenAlex bibliometric data, Python source code, computational procedures, derived datasets, statistical analyses, and reproducibility documentation. The original dataset comprises 500 citation-linked publication pairs, of which 246 satisfy the completeness and chronological consistency criteria for longitudinal analysis, producing 855 pair-year observations. The computational framework includes temporal DGRI calculations, absolute and logarithmic contrasts (S and Q), source-level contribution analysis, clustered bootstrap procedures, and sensitivity analyses. The archive preserves the original experimental material and provides a documented, deterministic offline Python workflow for reproducing the principal numerical results. Detailed README files, data dictionaries, and verification reports are included to support transparency, independent validation, and future methodological extensions. The longitudinal citation counts are retrospectively reconstructed from an OpenAlex snapshot rather than historical database snapshots. The repository also documents identified numerical discrepancies and limitations of the sensitivity analyses.
